THE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

TWO MORE CANDIDATES. Messrs G. W. Sellar and Hat-ley Donald yesterday intimated their definite intention of becoming candidates for seats on the Masterton Borough Council at the coming election. It is probable that Messrs Sellar, Donald, R. J. King, W. G. Lamb, A. E. Windenberg and W. Kemball, none of whom have previously occupied seats on the Council, will adopt a joint platform. It is understood that Messrs Temple, Ewington, W. Pragnell, J. P. Prentice, W. Candy, H.. O'Leary and E. Flanagan intend offering themselves for re-electiban to the Council. .Messrs W. Kemp and A. McEwen have intimated their intentions of becoming candidates, and it is not improbable that one or two others will enter the lists. The election promises to be one of the most interesting that has taken place in Masterton for several years past.
