THE LATE MR BROAD.

INQUEST AND FUNERAL. (By Telegraph. — Press Association.) MARTON, Last Night, The funeral of the late Mr E. W. Broad was largely attended on Friday. At the . inquest yesterday, the jury returned a verdict that deceased died on April 17th from injuries sustained whilst motor cycling, by being struck by the New Plymouth express on the 16th April, and that in the opinion of the jury, no blame was attachable to anyone. The jury added a rider that, in view of the increased motor and general traffic on the Wellington road, it be a strong recommendation to the Department to take immediate.steps to minimise the danger at the crossing.
