CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
MEETING OF COUNCIL. The monthly meeting of the Council of the Masterton Chamber of Commerce was held in the-A. and P. rooms yesterday afternoon, there being present: Messrs C. E. Daniiell (in the chair), G. W. Sellar, D. K. Logan, J. Caselberg, J. Brown, J. B. Keith, W. B. Chennels, G. H. Perry, E. P. Mountfort and R. Brown. Apologies were read from Messrs D. M. Graham, A. Henderson, A. T. Spain, and G. C. Summerell. The treasurer reported a credit balance of £24 2s 2d. A telegram was read from the Minister of Public Works, dated April Bth, stating that he had not yet been able to fix a date for his visit to the Wairarapa, but lie would give the matter his attention. Messrs S. Inder and G. Falla wrote, acknowledging the resolutions of the Chamber on the eve of their departure from Masterton.
