J. C. WILLIAMSON LTD.

"THE BLUE BIRD." The wonderful triumph achieved by "The Blue Bird" in Auckland surpassed the most sanguine anticipations of the J. C. Williamson .Management, and it will doubtless enjoy as successful a tomr as that experienced by "Peter Pan." The reports of the magnitude of the production, and of the brilliant manner in which it is presented by the new Williamson Company which have reached us, are causing playgoers to ' look eagerly forward to Friday next when it will' be staged here for the first time. The critics ar e agreed that nothing more brilliantly beautiful has been seen in Australasia. Not only is the delicate dialogue of the play itself of a fairy charm, but the lighting and musical effects are of a wonderful character, making the representation a veritale dream cf delight. Two remarkable children have been found in Gertie Cremer and Vera Spaull, who carry the respective party of Tyltyl and Myltyl. 'The appreciation which these children show of their parts is an essential to the success of the stage poem, and in this respect they are said to surpass their rivals .of the play in London. Each member of the company, which numbers over 100 artists, was selected for his or her fitness for the characters they enact with the result that it is stated that thev give a better all round performance of "The Blue Bird" than that given in England. Altogether there are over 100 travelling members of "The Blue Bird" Company, including Misses Irhv Marshall, Gertie Cromer, Vera Spaull, Madge Elliott, Stella Cazalla, Nellie Calvin, Vera Keogh, Jenny Hawkins, Veta CaniiaiirCoorgio 6'Moara, Duleio French, Tessie M'agner, Eileen Hayes, and Mess'.v' A. R. Mandford, Harry Hai- | ley, Charles Mettan, Maurice Dudley, ; I Ernest Lashbrook. Bnmdostown Rovett. Frank Harcourt, William Lo«khart. S. Burton, Harry Kaynor, Charles Midley, Clive Ranford, J. Bernard, R. Lawrence and O. Vaughiin. The box plan will lie. opened on Wednseday next at S a.in. at the Dresden. Children will be admitted at 1 half prices.
