FROM DR MAWSON.

WIRELESS MKSSAGES. ADELIE LAND STATION WORKING SPLENDIDLY. SYDNEY.- April <>. The wireless station at Adelie Land is now working splendidly, and Dr. Mawson is in regular communication with the Pennant Hills station. A long message dated the -nd inst gives details of the party's doings, and mentions that they are ass-ailed nightly by wireless signals from far and wide including the Government stations in New Zealand and at "Melbourne and Hobart, also warships. Tt states that the expedition's work has proved that the Antarctic Continent lies much further south than where Wilkes's American expedition mapped it. Winter is now fairly upon them, the land penguinh as departed and terrific hurricanes are being experienced. The party is frequently setting bottles adrift to ascertain the direction of the ocean currents, and hopes ships picking them up will report. Dr Mawson is anxious for the Aurora to leave Australia in November next to pick up the Macquarie party, arriving in Adelie. Land about 10th December. It is anticipated the ice conditions will then allow the Aurora to do this. He is particularly anxious for a competent physicist to join the Aurora equipped with pendulum apparatus to determine the figure of the earth.
