HANDLING OF NON-UNION COAL. (Received Last Night, 11.20 o'clock.) SYDNEY, April 10. Th..; Coal Lumpers' Uuion discussed the question whether they would refuse to handle coal 'from colleries owned by South Coast proprietors, and that no ships diotild be coaled with Newcastle coal, which used southern coal in times of commercial peace. An amendment was carried that the Union should continue working until the members were asked to handle uoiirunion coal. ■SETTLEMENT AGREED TO. MEN READY TO RESUME. (Received-Last Night, 11.20 o'clock.) SYDNEY, April 10. A meeting of South Coast miners ■resolved that, as the Hon A. C. CarmichaePs terms of settlement are fair; they be accepted. They stated that if the employers accept, the miners are .ready to resume on Monday. BARRIER MINES CLOSING. 2000 MIEN IDLE. (Received Last Night, 11.20 o'clock.) SYDNEY, April 10. The Bairier mines are gradually closing, owing to want of supplies. This means that over 2000 mine workers will be thrown idle. The general position is unchanged.
