The secretary of tlie Post COffice has rived the following telegram from Union Coy, Dunedin :—"Be'ferring to out telegram yesterday, Sydaiey "has just cabled u« thflt a, further unessage has been received from the Oaptain of the Mnkura, stating that Bhj,. - *-*' 8 o'clock la«t night .she was 240 '..-' tridles from Sydney, with very heavy weather prevailing. Fifty of Tfew Zealand mails are damaged by fire and water, some Wing totally dc- ! astreyed."
