A RAILWAY GRIEVANCE.
We had hoped that, with the coming to power of die Massey Government, there would liaye been a change ia
tht> treatment meted out to the Waiwtrapa in the matter of train conveniences. Evidently, however, we are to continue to be regarded a branch line and are being asked to be satisfied with a sixth-rate service. Tho complui it that is voiced in our correspondence columns by Mr O. C. Cooper is only one of many that have reached us of late. On Saturday last there whs only one miserable little smoking car on a race train containing several hundreds of passengers. If there is a shortage in rolling stock, this should be remedied as quickly as possible. Tho Wairarapa is .not going to be satisfied with a .sixth-rate service.
