Considerable inconvenience, is sit present occasioned through one district: observing Thr.rs-cla-y a-s the half-holiday and another Wednesday, as in the, case of Masterton and Pahiatua. or Mastertnn a.rd Wellington. If, by any chance, the Saturday half-holiday were adopted in Masterton and the Wairarana nrd surrounding tcwp-liir.'-s wore to observe a mid-week holiday, the inconvenience would b:-> still greater. IT the wnrlun,o; classes favour Sati't-day as tihe half-holiday i(a-nd we have yet. to learn that the majoritv of them do) the quickest way to the attahiiment of their objective is to work fwr the un.ivereal half-ln>liday.
