ADRIANOPLE FALLS.
SUCCESSFUL BULGARIAN ASSAULT.
SHUKRI PASHA SURRENDERS. FIERCE FIGHTING DURING THE NIGHT. (Received March 27, 8.10 a.m.") SOFIA, March 26. The Bulgarians assaulted and captured the whole of the eastern front of Adrianople, and their cavalry en tared the city. At the latest it was announced that Adrianople had fallen. The Turks :set fire to many buildings. The population became panic-stric-ken and fled. • BRILLIANT TURKISH DEFENCE. THE CITY IN RUINS. (Received This Morning, 12.5 o'clock.)) VIENNA, March 27. The general assault on Adrianople began on. Monday. Soon after midnight a concentrated! fire was opened upon , the advance works. The Turks replied energetically, but evidently desiired to spare their remaining ammunition. The infantry advanced by the aid of searchlights, and attacked Maslaik, the Turks retiring after a fierce defence. At dawn the attack ceased, to permit tlhe troops to rest. The Bulgarians lost enormously, the Turkish artillery making a brilliant defence. Olrnkri Pasha, wired to Constantinople : "I shall only leave tho enemy a, heai> of smoking runs,'.' and Tie> kept his word. "
