Slaughtermen's Union had undoubtedly eudoavoared u; ciHUu.vciit tho law and prevent, the registration of a perfectly legitimate body of workers. The Registrar read the Act in .its literal sense, and gave his verdict in favour of a Union which exists chiefly in name. The Court has reversed the decision of tho Registrar..' In doing so, .it has materially assisted in straightening out the paths of arbitration. It has not, however, removed the anomalir-s which render the Act aimoiVt a dead letter.
