The Prime' Minister toid a deputation at Ashiburton that the Government proposed establishing a Board of Agriculture in -the Dominion at an j early date. The work of the Agricultural Department in recent years has 'heen much appreciated by the far-iting Vu'fc this work would have .been of greater value had the policy of the Department been irrevocable by Ministers. If a Board of Agriculture were in existence, with the Minister for the time being as the nominal head, there would be a continuity of effort which would make for the permanent good, of the Dominion. ,
