HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
ME-ETI?«G OF COMMITTEE. A committee meeting of the Haste rton Horticultural Society was held in Messrs W. B. Ohennells and Co.'s office last night. The treasurer submitted a statement in connection with the late show, which showed receipts £64 3s 6d, and expenditure £6l los ■id. leaving a profit on the show of £2 8s 2d, as against £6 9s 2d for thle -Mine show lo;t year. It was decided thai; a meeting of the committee be hf'M on Monday. 7rh April, to fix a dc.te for the annual meeting. Accounts amounting to £63 16s 7d were passe;! for payment. Prize-money in connection with the late show is now payable at the secretary's office.
