THE TERRITORIAL INQUIRY.
Colonel Tate, the Brigade Commander, last night conveyed to the Masterton Territorials the decision of the Officer Commanding the Distract (Colonel Chaytor) in respect to the inquiry recently held, The remission oi the men's fine must not be taken as an admission that the strikers Were 'not at fault. They committed i a serious offence, hut apparently did so iin ignorance. Colonel Tate did the right thing in imp reding upon the men the serious aspects of tlie case. So far as the -other matters connected with the inquiry are concerned, these have been dealt -with bv the Officer Cnm-mnrding the District himself.
