There will bo racing this week at Napier Park, Nelson, Southland! and Waimate, so that sportsmen in the various parts of the Dominion should have ample opportunity oi enjoying a day or two's racing. Acceptances for the first day s events to be run at the A'utitmn Meeting of the Wairarapa Racing Club, close with, the Secretary (Mr A. Laerv) on Friday. On the same day nominations for events to be run at the Wellington Club's Autumn meeting will lie received. Sinapii-i should start n warm favourite in the Nelson Cup to ho run tomorrow.

Sir Solo is striding out freely at Opnki and should strip very well for his Rieenn'ton engagements. The same stable will have Conaiska and Man-' ita.u engaged at the Easter meeting of the Wairarapa. Racing Club. Black Reef, Golden Butterfly, and Porn Poro wer? taken through to f'astlopnint this morning to take nnrt in the Whakataki Hack meeting., on Saturday., The beach' is in splendid order and as the weather gives promise of keeping fin: 1 , an enjoyable day's outing is assured those who malvO the trip to the popular sea-side resort.

Ariom is entered at both the Waimikurau and Tauherenikau meetings. Tt is' nrcbable that the Merriwee mare wi'l figure at the latter place. The Dannevirke Racing Club have 'Secured the freehold' of the Tamsiki course*, and intend making a. large number of improvements before next meeting.
