K EEN COMP ETLTION. (Received Last Night, 11.15 o'clock.) LONDON, March 5. At the wool sales there was an excellent selection of crossbreds, and a fair selection of merinos. There was a large attendance, and keen competition, all sections operating. Compared with tlio January closing rates, merinos are from par to five per centum higher. Best crossbreds are unchanged. Others show from 5 to 7h per cent advance. The most marked advance is in the courser grades.
