WOOL SALES.
LEVIN AND CO. Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., report: At the sale yesterday 3000 bales of wool were offered, our catalogue representing 470 bales. 'llie quality of the wool was again very satisfactory, taking into account the late period of the season. There were several good parcels of crossbred, and also oi iambs. Much of the wool, however, was of low grade and contained seed. Bidding was again .strong, and considering quality and condition the highest results of the season were realised. The actual advance on last sale for fleece wool was one farthing. We topped the market with 12£ d for crossbred J H 'J. 1 (conjoined). The Lake Meadows clip, from Featherston,. reached llijd. Lambs wool was generally easier, probably on account oi poorer quality. The following is the range of prices; Fine x-brcds lid to 12£ d, medium x-bretls lOd to lid, coarse x-breds 9d to lO.jd, inferior x-bre-ds BJd to. 93d, pieces and bellies to locks 4Jd to ssd, lambs (good) 103 d to 11 -}d, lambs (medium) I 9d to 10id, lambs (seedy, inferior) 5-Jd to 83d. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: The fourth and final wool sale of the ssea>son was held yesterday, when some 3000 bales were submitted by the associated brokers. For the most part the wool consisted of seedy and backcountry lots, but all in very light condition. We offered several small from 10£ dto lid; There was a good attendance of buyers, and bidding was keen for all lots, and we estimate that prices are 3d to |d per pound higher than at tho February sale. The following are some of the sales made by us of interest in the Wairlira pa : j. P. Goodwin, 7d; 0. C. H. Swan, 9ifd; C.' Ma viand, 10£ d; P. J. McCarr, lOd; H. Evans, 9kl; E. W. Taylor, BJd ; Goodwin Bros., 83d, 9.1 d, 9kl; J). Alexander, Phelps, 7d; H. Galbraith, Sgd, DALGETY AND CO. Messrs Dalgetv and Co. 'report: The total offering amongst the associated wool brokers amounted to 3000 bales, of which our catalogue showed 11-12 bales. Tho sale may be described as the keenest of the season the market showing a slight advance 011 February rates. Oiferings were mainly rough, heavily-conditioned, back-country lots, many clips showing badly with .seed. We quote: Medium x-bred lOd to lid, inferior do. Sjd to 9;jd, dead do. 9kl, pieces 0-Jd lots of good crossbred, which brought to bellies stained pieces and locks s:]d, crutcliings "id, lambs (medium) 10.1<l to lid.
