(By Telegraph—Press Association.) TIAIA.H I*, Last Night. The discharge of fire and water damaged flax from the steamer Matatua is proceeding. To-day from sixty to seventy, more or less fire-damaged bales were got- out. Some "were a little charred, but others were leaked. The discharge cf the vessel is hampered by the tangled flax through the broken bands. At the fourth and final uool sale to-day, 873 bales were solfl, and 21 passed in. The brokers report good competition, and generally improved prices), from- par to a halfpenny compared, with the January,, sale.
