Our Oun Correspondent. The first game this year for ' the Fisher medals were played on the local howling green oin Wednesday evening. J. Harp and F. Lindop challenged the /holders, A. E. Hall and W. Dounard, tiie latter gaining an easy victory .by 32 points to 8. Inspector Miller, of the Health Department, was on an official visit to Carterton on Thursday. Mrs W. W. Ellis, 'who, with her son, Mr K. Ellis, has been on a holida ytrip to the Old Country, .returned home on Wednesday evening. Mr C. S. Gordon, of Dalefield, who is at present relieving at the Carterton District High School, has been appointed sole teacher at the Rongomai school near Eketahuna.
