THE "LIBERAL" PARTY.
A great many people in this Dominion are wondering where the remnant of the Liberal party stands at the present moment. Some of it is hobnobbing with the aristocrats of London. Other portions aro said to be syndicating . large blocks of land, while the residue is scratching its head and wondering whether it will join the progressive Liberal party, which now occupies the Treasury benches, or will go into the camp of Semple and Co. It is perfectly clear that the Liberal party, or the LiberalLabour party, as it was once known, has gone to pieces. To endeavour to resuscitate it Mere vain. It is no more. The parties of the future will be the Government and the Opposition. And the active oppisition will come, not from tho remnant of the so-called Liberals, but from the 'Radicals and Socialists. It is as well, therefore, to state that those who strive to oust the present Government are paving the way .for Red Flaggers.
