MONTENEGRINS ROUTED. THREE THOUSAND KILLED AND; WOUNDED. (Received Last Night. S.lO o'clock.) CONSTANTINOPLE, Fob. 16. It is officially stated that 16,000 Montenegrins, which cook part in the attack on Taraboseh and Barditza,* cabled on February 10th, have been, routed leaving 3000 dead and wounded. DESTROYED BY A MINE. (Received Lact Night, S.lO o'clock.);. SOFIA, February 16. The wreck of the Turkish cruiser Assari Tewfik was due to a Bulgarian mine. A Bulgarian mining detachment destroyed her.BULGARIAN DESERTERS. MANY ENTERING RUMANIA. (Received February 17. 9.3 a.m.) BUCHAREST. February 16. Many Bulgarian deserters are entering .Rumania., The Bulgarian authorities have demanded the return of a law student who was wounded at Lule Burgas.. The Rumanian Government has rerused. The deserter asserts that the state of the Bulgarian troops is desperate; they are subject to harsh discipline in the field. He also says, the country is averse to a continuance of the war when peace could be concluded. SERVIAN PATROL AMBUSHED. (Received February 17, 9 a.m.) BELGRADE, 'February 16. Albanians in the vicinity of Elbassan ambushed and killed twelve out of a Servian patrol V.f eighteen.
AUSTRIA'S CLAIM. A SERIOUS OUTLOOK. (Received Last Night, ll.lj o'clock.) LONDON, February 17. It is stated in diplomatic circles that Austria considers Albania should include Scutari, Ipsek, Prisrend, Diakova, Dibra, Konitza, and Jumna. She emphasises the fact that of a; total of 1,200,000 Albanians, one-third. "iv outside the frontiers, ;■•:•<! *-heve are no Slavs inside. The Daily Chronicle's Roumania correspondent is informed that the Powers view the Slav proposals as unsatisfactory, and that in the progress of negotiations they might be obliged to have recourse to military measures.
