MANGAONE OIL FIELDS
AX INTERESTING REPORT. Mr ¥. Cassin, managing director of the Mangaone Oilfields, Ltd., has supplied us with the following statement: "The bore is down about 1300 feet. The indications are very promising. Gas and other favourable indications are frequently met with, and the most serious machinery difficulties have now been overcome." The Pahiatua Herald of yesterday •says: "The promoters of rhe Mangaon 0 Oilfields, Ltd., express themselves as being very confident of the company meeting with success. A private conference between the. promoters and the owners of land over which boring rights have been secured was held in Pahiatua on Saturday."
