A CITIZEN'S LEAGUE.
A few days back wo urged the necessity lor the formation of a Citizen's League in Ma.>terton., The idea, seems to have appealed to a great many ratepayers, -more especially in view of the large municipal undertakings that- are at present under discussion. If some public-spirited person would call a meeting of those interested, we feel sure that there would be a large, and representative attendance. A similar institution was formed at Low-er Hut I !a - t week, the objects being a-s follows: "The advocacy of necossary public works; efficient administration of borough affairs; to create and foster a healthy publicspirit on all questions' affecting the welfare of the- district: and generally to protect the interests of the electors.
