At the monthlv meeting of tha Masterton ' District High School Committee a resolution of appreciation was passed of the services rendered, in the interests of education in the Wairarapa, by Mr A. H. Vile, during his long term as a member of the> "Wellington Education Board. Mr E. Caradus, B.Sc.. assistant science and mathematical master at Wellington College, has been appointed Science Master at Auckland Crammar School in place of Mr F. Heaton, M.A.. who recently resigned to taka over the headmastership of the Napian Boys' High School. The Hon. J. A. Millar stated to a Wellington pressman that he had pretty well recovered his old health, and hopes to bo in his place in the House, when Parliament meets in June. He has purchased a house in Victoria Avenue, Remuera, and intends to take up his residence there later on.
