SCHOLARSHIP EXAMINATIONS. The following is a list of the pupils of the Masterton District Sclwol, who were successful in passing matriculation, Junior Civil Service, and Senior Board Scholarship examinations : Matriculation ('names of all pupils presented).—Winifred Evans, Iris Tankerslev, .Minnie Wallis, George Saker, Lander Thompson, Reginald "VVilton. (All passed with credit.) AM the above named pupils wero credited with a pass in the .solicitor's general knowledge examination on thedr matriculation work. Four of them completed their matriculation course in three years. Junior Civil Service (names of all nupils presented). —Reginald Wilton, Iris Tankersley, Rov Gardner, Ivan Sutherland, and Minn© Wallis passed with' credit, and George Saker, Winifred Evans, David Speedy, Eileen Cripps and John Hunter passed. Senior Scholarship Examination (b) Scholarships (names? of all pupils presented). —Roy Gardner and Leo Welch were awarded scholarships," and Herbert Wood passed. The above-named scholarships {five in number) ar<?.open to all secondary pupils in the Wellington Education District. Tho tost in the Junior Civil Service examination, including agricultural subjects. The first-named pupil obtained the top marks awarded in the examination. These scholarships are tens*hie i'or two years, and are of the value of £5 a year, if the pupil lives at homo, or £4O a year if compelled to live away from home. Senior Scholarship Examination (a) Scholarships.—lvan Sutherland, Wini- ' fred Evans and John Hunter passed. The above-named scholarships (five in number) are open to all secondary pupils in tho Wellington Education District. The test is the Junior Civil Service examination, excluding the 'rural course. The first-named pupil was plaaed 6th on the list.
