ESCAPED PRISONERS

On Monday morning two prisoners, Clinlic.o' Victor Raymond Stanway, and Walter .James Ross escaped from the tree plantation' camp at Kaingaroa Plains. They were; recaptured by the Maoris last night. On being chiilltMiged both ran- away, and "one of the Maoiis fired a rifle, the ballot- hitting Ross. The injury is slight.
