■HONOURABLY DISCHARGED. (Received Last" Night, 9.45 o clock/ SYDNEY, February 11. When the charge was * called against James Dixon Williams, managing director of the Greater J. D. Williams Amuscmciiits Compaflj > Ltd., who was arrested nine days ago, on a charge of harbouring and assisting Frank Lloyd', /who arrested at Auckland on a charge of forging an order for the purchase of ]50,'000 of tho company's shares, counsel for tho prosecution announced that he and counsel for the defence had gone thoroughly into the case on account of tho public matters -involved, and had agreed ■that Williams, in taking the step lie did, had acted in a hona fide manner., and in tho interest of shareholders, and he thought that the explanation put before liim by counsel, convinced him that the proper course to pursue in the interests of the shareholders was not to proceed further with t]io charge. Counsel for tho defence stated that "Williams assented to this course, realising that it was the best in tho interests of the com'pany and shareholders. He was,' also o [opinion that the quarrel should cease between the parties, as the explanation given was satisfactory, and that lie should be honourably discharged. . The charge, was thereupon withdrawn, and Williams wa<j discharged.
