REPORT OF ROYAL COMMISSION. (Received Last Night, 9.3") o'clock ) HOBAIIT, February 0. The report of tho Royal Commission, set up to investigate, the Alt. Lyell mine disaster, shows that there is no reason to suspect incendiarism. Only one witness testified to see ing candles under the billies warnr.ug the tea. The Commissioners consider it un safe to rely on this uncorroborated evidence. ' There was no evidence < f any other source from whence the fire might have originated through carelessness. They also consider that the attempt, to prove that the fire was due. to a defect in the electrical installation, has failed.
