PASSIVE RESISTERS
OBSTRUCT A THOROUGHFARE. (By Telearaph.—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, Last Night. The Magistrate's Court was occupied all this afternoon with the hearing of a. ease against three passive resistors —John McTaggart, R. J. Wearne, and James Nuttall—of obstructing Mawhera quay, by an add : rcss cn anti-militarism, on January 2oth. The men came from Runanga to Greymouth, and blocked traffic for an hour. A point was raised for the defence a.s to whether the obstruction was caused by the defendants or the crowd. The Magistrate reserved his <sk;cision
