MOTORS FOR SHOW.

(To the tidUor.) Sir, — Inotice by your paper that the motor car owners of Masterton have objected to outside competition on the Masterton show days. This is a narrow-mincfed, conservative policy, and I am surprised at the Borough Council giving it a hearing. I intended suggesting that on your show a motor service be instituted be-, tween Masterton and Carterton 1 , and possibly Grey town. It would have meant a big addition to the attendance at the show. _ But as the number of .motor-cars is to be limited by your Borough Council, I suppose it is useless to make the suggestion.—l ara, etc., PATRON. •Carterton, January 29
