Sir, —We in. the backblocks are eagerly scanning the Age, to see what movement is being made to "bring the claims of Pongaroa and the outlying districts to ;railway communication .before Ministers , when 'they visit these parts. We are all hoping that the; Minister of Public ,Works and the Prime Minister will travel through from Masterton to Poilgaroa, and , see for themselves. Masterton should be wide awake, and not allow the opportunity to slip of pressing home the claimy of the backblocks.—l am, etc., PONGAROA SETTLER. Pongaroa, January 29.
