YACHTING FATALITY
{By Telegraph.—Press Association,) WAA'GAXCI,, La.st Night. A yachting adventure in the river on teaturday evening cost a young man, named W. (J. Brown, his. life. Four young fellows,, named; William Smith* Herbert Thorn. Tim Outfield, and Brown were reUirning to town after j a cruise, when the yacht struck ' a j snag aud sank. All the crew were ■ m bathing-costume. . Thorn and Cutheld 'swam out to a convenient but Brown became entangled m on# pf the -stays of the boat. He ' 'Smith, and .though'asiri S * ' c:ould not reach-Me shore. Ilie other two stored., oat" Voi* the launch all night. Brown's body was found _ to-day. One" leg was cut where it had bcon entangled with a wire rope. Brown, who is 25 years of age, was a clerk ,for Messrs DaJgety and Co., He was a son of Captaia Brown, of Papanut Road, ,<Oh.ristchurcli.
