A GOOD SUGGESTION.
(To tho Etlitor.) Sir:—What would yon think oj' a storekeeper who charged admission to his store? That is what our racing clubs are doing throughout the Dominion t and yet they look to tho crowd to visit the cour.se. and put their money on the machine, out oi which each club, and tho Governmejit combined, take their tithe. The grounds should be free, and tho -Government should run cheap excursions to all races if they want to get tho bOst results. "What do von -say, Mr Editor? SPORT. (The idea is not at all a bad one. Perhaps our correspondent will approach the Wellington Racing (Tub on the subject. We feel sure that, 'he would get a good hearing. — Ed. Age.)
