TARATAHI SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Taratahi sale as follows: A large entry of all classes of stock, considerably in excess of advertised numbers, came forward. 1 lie demand for sheep was not quite up to recent sales. However, we Quitted the bulk of our entry at satisfactory prices. Cattle sold well throughout, although vendors had in most cases to reduce their reserves on weaners, of which there was a heavy yarding. Some nice lines of good (inality dairy cows sold readily. Taking the sale throughout, very few lines were passed out unsold. The following is a list of prices: Cull lambs -Is tkl to (>«, medium black face lambs Ks to 9.5, forward do to 10s Gd, oull 2-tooths Os to'Ss Ckl. forward ewes 13s -Id, 2-tooth wethers 1.3s Od. small mixed weaners 21s to "255. wenner heifers 25s to 31s, best, line* weaners 3fis to 38s, yearling heifers £2 15s to .£'3 -Is. best lilies to £3 19s. 15 to 18 month Holstoin cross , heifers ina calf C-l 17s. 2-year heifers in calf to £1 15s. medium 15-month steers to £'3 ss. store cows (aged) 30s to £2 10s, fair conditioned sorts £3 to £3 Ms, fat and forward do £3 15s to £-1 15s, fat cows £5 to £5 9s, cows and calves to £5. bulls C 3 to £fi Kis. nigs (porkers) 30s.
