SOX SHOOTS HIS FATHER.

(Received Last Night 11 .•> o'clock.) SYD.vKY, January 17.

The Coroner found that Mr Field, who was shot on December 13th. when a burglar was supposed to be about, died from a gunshot- wound accidentally inflicted by his son Leslie. The shot was fired at Field in self defence when the son thought ho was in danger. He intended to shoot another man. The evidence showed that Leslie was agitated, and that the report that the stranger referred to, fired two or three shots, was due to excitement.
