The water supply in Masterton is at such a low pressure just now that Inspector Hugo has considered it necessary to report to the Fire Board that it is es-seaitial that the use of Water for garden 1 rig and similar purposes' «U<Hil<l lie entirely discontinued. It will renin?.') i'pr the Borough Council to say whethei' this' recommendation shall bo adopted. In view of tEe disastrous results which might follow an outbreak of fire, it is desirable that citizens should, in the meantime, use as little water as possible for gardening purposes, and closifit entirely from lining it for this in the busy hours of the da.y.
