SWIMMING CLUB
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. '■' A meeting of the Management Committee of the Wairarapa Amateur Swimming Club was held in the secretary's rooms in Masterton, last night. Present: —Messrs'J.' A. MeEwe;(chairman), G. Fornian, A. Miller, E. Wickens, J. Winchester. E. Flanagan, H. Williams, J. Georgson, A Pinhey, W. Dickson, A. H. Eddy ani F. Riekards. The secretary reported thai record entries had been received for the meeting, including several from' competitors who will he representing their clubs at the N.Z. championships. Full arrangements ave been made to put on comic events, amongst which will be included the aeroplane raft.
The secretary reported that although the Tea Kiosk had been'offered rent free, no application could be cot. for same. It was decided that as the club was placed in an impossible position, afternoon tea could not be supplied.
Tt was decided that hot water be' supplied on the grounds free. It was arranged to entertain the visiting competitors at luncheon. Messrs J. A. McEwen and J. Georgeson were, appointed a sub-committee to meet the visitors.
Tt was decided to accept the tender of the Municipal Band to supply music at the carnival.
