SON SHOOTS HIS FATHER. (Received .January 13, ,10 a.m.) SYDNEY, January 13. A terrible .shooting fatality occur ml in an Overtown household. John Field', a dairyman, wax disturbed in tilie night by a supposed "(.nil gar. Field and his sons with firearms, searched for the intruder, and ono son, during the excitement, mistook liirs father for the burglar, and fired, killing his father. (Received Last Niglrt, 10 o'clock.) SYDNEY, January 13. A later version of the shooting affair is to the effect that Field's son saw a stranger at the gate. He did not return a friendly greeting. _ After a warning was given to those inside, the stranger was fired at. Another son fired a couple of shots to frighten the granger, who is now believed to have fired in return, killing Field.
