AOHONGA DISASTER
A BODY COMES ASHORE. All doubts concerning the fate of the launch which left Aohonga on New Year's Day have been set at rest- by the body of one of the men coming ashore. On Saturday evening the body of Alexander McKenzie, one of tho missing men, was found on tlie bteaeh : at..the mouth of the Aohonga river. The who was a single man, had a bushfelling contract on the station of Mr Hume at AkrEio. He was a natice of Catlins River, in the South Island, and was a nephew of the Hon T. Mackenzie, High Commissioner.
The other missing men are Sam Potangaroa (of Masterton) i James Power, junr. (of Aohonga) and Alexander Duncan, a mate of McKenzie's. The two former are married men. A telegram to the Ace stated that un till last night the bodies of none of the other victim,s had been discovered. ' ,
