FIRES

(By Telegraph — Press Association.) GHHISTCHURCH, Last Night. A four-roomed cottage in Cashel Street, Lin wood, was completely destroyed by fire at 9.13 last night. It fl'fls occupied by Miss Harvey, and owned; by Mr Calvert. The contents were uninsured. Tho insurance, if any, on the building, is not ascertainable. Whilst the Fire Brigade were attending this outbreak, an alarm was received for a fire at the Aulsebrook Company's large biscuit and confectionery factory, at the corner of Antigua Street and St Asaph Street, which was discovered at 10.12 p.m. A motor pump and si* men were despatched, and were successful in confining the outbreak to the chocolate -oom, in which it evidently originated. The 'lrving room above sot ;t little smcke. but it i.s believed it has not injured the confectionery, which was in the moulds. The damage -tone in tho chocolate room is estimsited at under £SOC.
