Mr J. L. Murray and family, .of ' Mwterton, leave on a holiday visit to Castlepoint to-day. Mr Bill Smith, an old identity of Eketahuna, is at present lying seriously ill in the Dannevirke Hospital. kanae. A Christchurch telegram states that Mr Bishop, S.M., the condition of whose health has been giving his .friends some anxiety, successfully underwent an operation on Saturday, and yesterday was reported to he progressing favourably.
