MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of tho Masterton Trust Lajids Trust was held last evening, there being present — Messrs B. Krahagen (chairman), A. "VV. Hogg, H. C. Kobinson, I). Caselberg, T. B. , Michel!, W. H. Jackson and C. E. Daniell. Tlio Inspector of Nuisances wrote, stating that advertisements had been painted on tlio Trust fences contrary to the Municipal Corporation Act, and giving not'ice that proceedings would be taken if the names were not removed at once./ The secretary stated that he had notified the parties concerned, and some of the advertisers objected to having them removed. Mr Daniell thought that the Inspector should be supported. ! It was decided that- the action of the secretary in asking the paintings to be removed be endorsed. A Trust lessee wrote asking permission to transfer her lease of property in Queen street. i It was decided to refer the matter , to the Leasing Committee, with power to act. | The socrotarv of iho. Ma.steruvn Municipal Band forwarded a list of dates on which the band rendered programmes' of music in public,, j It was decided tKat as the condi- , tions set down by the Trust were c'om- ; plied with, a grant of £5 be fonvard.ed to tho secretary of the bawl. ' The Town Hall Committee reported that a company was being formed for , the purpose of taking over Mr Atkin'« interest in the lease hold by him of j the Masterton Town Hall. I The committee stated that Mr H. Inns, who was acting on the proposed company's behalf, had been informed that when Mr Atkins produced , his lea-se signed by himself and bondsmen, the committee would recommend that the transfer of the Town Hall lease from Mr Atkins to the proposed company be a creed to. , The matter was discussed in committoo nnd after bearing a. statement on behalf of Mr Tons the following resolution wa« passed: That the Trustees will atrree to transfer the partially completed agreement between this Tnist. and Mr Atkins to the about to be formed; the Town Hall Committee ,to have autlio- • ritv to act in completion of the matter o n »behalf of this Trust: that the Trustees are willing to delete the clause in the agreement requiring Mr | Atkins to> secure the signatuies of two guarantors. Tlio report of the Town Hall and Building Committees were read and i adonted. ! The treasurer's renort showing a deb't balance of £644 lis. lid was read and adopted. _ | Accounts amounting to i/o-1 ios were passed for payment. .! --
