Mr J. Henniker-Heaton, in a letter tn the newspapers, states that 1*636,000 money orders, valued at £4,309,000 were received from the British colonies and dependencies during the year. During the same period £2,813j000 was received from the United States, Australia sent £497,000 New Zealand £244,000, and Canada £2,290,000. The mrnss of the money, he stated, was for relatives from the kin beyond the peas, and is a splendid evidence of tb»iv Jove and affection for the Homeland. -•
