CONFERENCES IN PROGRESS. WHAT TURKEY DEMANDS. POSITION OF ALBANIA AND MACEDONIA. (Received Last Night, 9.50 o'clock.) LONDON, January 2. M. Veuezeloo presided at the Conference between the Allies and Turkey. The Turkish delegates agreed to the demand of the Allies that all negotiations should be conducted en bloc. The Turkish delegates stated that as Crete was connected with the. Powers, it would be advisable to seek their oponion before a decision was arrived at. The delegates of the Allied States insisted on Turkey relinquishing her rights in Crete, adding that perhaps the Allies would late r address the Powers on the subject. The Turks thereupon suggested that as the regions belonged to Asia "Minor, 1 they were unable to cede the Allies' demands for a cession. They also declared that Turkey must prepare the definite way of the Turko-Budga rian frontier. Reshed Pasha intimated that he would seek fresh instructions on the various points raised. When the Ambassador's Conference resumes, it will discuss three projects for delineating the Albanian position, viz., those of the Balkan Allies, Russia and Austria. The proposals of the latter diverge widely from those of the others. The Daily Telegraph's Consantinople correspondent states that there is an impression in certain circles that a direct understanding exists .between Turkey and Bulgaria in regard to the j autonomy of Macedonia, the object I being to doprivo Greece of Salonika, and Hermit Bulgaria to become the master <;f Macedonia at a later period.
