ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATION. CUBING STATE ENTRY TO DELHI (Received This Morning, 12.15 o'clock.) DELHI, December 23. An attempt was made to assassinate Lord Hardinge, Governor-General of India, by means of exploding a bomb, while making a Stato entry into Delhi, the new capital of India. Lord Hardinge was wounded, and an attendand was killed. The Viceroy's elephant, at th© head of the procession, left the station, and was passing through Gbandichowe, when a man on A housetop threw a -powerful fcomb, striking the Viceroy's howdah, and wonding him in the shoulder. The .attendant was holding the umbrella, and was killed; The Vicerbv was taken to the hospital. Lady Hardinge .was much shaken.
