KEIR HARDIE AGAIN
THE WORKERS' RIGHTS. (Received This Morning, 12.15 o'clock.) LONDON, December 23. Mr Keir Hardie, speaking at South Shield, referring to the Trade Union Congress deliberations respecting the maximum day. said that eveiy trade unionist would be asked to down tools when eight hours were up. He hoped this would be possible on May Ist. In another speech at Newcastle, he said that if needful, he was prepared to advocate a .strike for the right of the working c'asses to get drunk in their leisure time.
