FIRE AT BENDIGO
HEAVY DAMAGE CAUSED. {.Received December 23 10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, December 23. A fii'o at Bendigo destroyed the' promifos of Messrs Faul (ironmongers) and Mark's (auctioneers). A quantity of cartridges in one of ilie buildings kept up a fusillade. Tin's caused excitement and interfered ••\i;h the suppression of tho fire. Tho damage is estimated at £lB,000.
