RESENTFUL REPLY TO AMERICA. MASSACRE BY INDIANS. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) MEXICO CITY, December 22. The Government's reply to the representations of the United States is full of resentment against the charges of the Hon. C. P. Knox, Secretary of the Treasury, regarding tho ill-treat-ment of Americans. The reply states that in many cases the Americans themselves were blameworthy. An ultimatum is now being proposed. The .Tacque Indians massacred a thousand persons in the San MarcialSonora State. The American quarter outside the town, escaped. .The Indians showed no quarter, "butchering everybody.
