' Hy T*.tr,f/r,tj,h—smociatiom.) CHRISTCHURCB. Last Night. At about 3.40 this afternoon the Fire Brigade received a call to Messrs Booth, Macdpnald! and Co.'s engineering works, at Sydenham. The fire was confined to the moulding a<nd pattern shops, which formed part of the old building. The fire at one time looked likely to involve the greater part of the works,- but'the brigade was very promptlv at work, and the outbreak was localised. The damage done was not very extensive. The building was insured for £4OO in the Sun Office, and the contents for .£9OO. Mr Booth estimates the damage approximately at £IOOO.
