CALCUTTA MURDER TRIAL. CALLOUSNESS OF MRS FULHAM. (Received December 18, 8 a.m.) CALCUTTA, December 17. At Agra, the trial of Mr Clark, of the Medical Department at Allahabad, and Mrs Fuiham for the murder of Mr Fuiham is proceeding. It was stated that the woman wroto daily reports informing Clark of the effect of the poison on Fuiham. In ono sho stated "it will take a hundred years-to kill him." Another letter informed Clark that her husband suspected her of intimacy with him, and had threatened to shoot her arid then commit suicide.- Again she wrote—"My husband is very ill. The symptoms aro of cholera. * All blame the Masonic dinner, but you and I know. I cannot bear to see his sufferings." Later she wrote: "The powder is hard to administer, as my husband does not take food prepared by me." On 25th July she said she determined to administer the powder in liquor, and as her husband was going to some sports, "lie will have a touch of the sun, after which it will be, convenient to finish up the dreadful business." Four clays later she wrote —"A great disappointment. Evidently the gods will spare my husband's life. Had I forseen this trouble I would never have attempted niv poor husband's life." After failure at Meerut she wrote: "We will get another opportunity at Agra" (where Fuiham was going). When Fuiham died at Agra on 10th October, Clark certified that death was duo to paralysis.
